The Presentation:

Need two CE credits of ethics education?  Why not spend the time in a practically-based and entertaining session with Ilene Ferenczy and “The Ferenczy Benefit Players”?  We’ll cover Circular 230 Rules and how they apply to benefits practices and practitioners.  This session is intended to provide participants with the tools needed to recognize, evaluate, and reasonably solve ethical conundrums.

Get answers to questions like:

  • What do you do with takeover clients who misstated information on Form 5500 in the prior year?
  • Can you hold back work from a client who hasn’t paid you?
  • What do you do if you’re an ERPA and your boss is not…and he/she wants to do something unethical?

Our Speaker: Ilene Ferenczy, Ferenczy Benefits Law

Ferenczy, J.D., CPC, APA, is the Managing Partner of Ferenczy Benefits Law Center, an employee benefits law firm in Atlanta, GA.  Ms. Ferenczy advises clients on all types of employee benefit plans, particularly focusing her practice on qualified retirement plans, benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions, and advising third-party administrators of employee benefit programs on technical and practice issues.  Having become an attorney after more than ten years as a third-party administrator, she brings a unique and practical approach to her advice.  She is a member of the State Bars of Georgia and California, and holds designations as a Certified Pension Consultant from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and Accredited Pension Administrator from the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA).  Ms. Ferenczy is the 2007 recipient of ASPPA’s Educator of the Year Award, and the 2017 recipient of NIPA’s Excellence in Education Award.
