Speaker's Presentation:  Financial Wellness

Two decades ago, when we talked about participant education, we focused on three main objectives: increase participation, increase deferrals, and proper diversification.  Today, auto-plan design and asset allocation products can solve the lion’s share of those legacy objectives.  Combine evolutions in plan design with the rise of millennials—many of whom have higher debt burdens—and the topic of financial wellness has exploded onto the DC landscape.

But financial wellness is not confined to a specific age or income level.  The notion stems from helping an individual manage their daily finances, while setting short and long term saving goals, so they can build a more secure financial future.

In this presentation, we explore how financial wellness programs can benefit both sponsors and their employees.
