This timely presentation on offering target date funds in qualified plans is based on JP Morgan’s research on participant behavior as it relates to investment and saving patterns in DC plans.  This research is designed to help plan fiduciaries think through portfolio and glide path design in order to make more effective decisions on the type of strategy that may best meet a particular plan's needs and goals. First released in 2007, this ongoing analysis has found real-world participant behaviors to be consistently much more varied and volatile than many standard industry assumptions about 401(k) investment and participant saving patterns.  The presentation will also touch on the current state of guidance with respect to target date funds.
