Tax regulations are only getting more complicated. As service providers and consultants, knowing how and when to utilize these benefits can increase your value proposition. Retirement and health plan solutions are often siloed and as a result they are underutilized. During this presentation we will help you understand how these plans work and where and when they should be utilized.
Victoria Evans is an owner and Director of Health and Welfare for Professional Benefit Services, Inc. She is blessed to be a second-generation part-owner of the family business. Victoria has been managing operations for PBS’ health and welfare divisions for the past 8 years, which include Cafeteria Plans (FSAs, DCAP), Health Spending Accounts (HSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), COBRA administration and Self-Funded Health Plans. Victoria was instrumental in building out the self-funded division in 2015. She has her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in Business Administration and comes from a large Beaver family which enjoys attending as many sporting events as possible. Victoria is also a recent mother of two, enjoying raising two young kids born in 2021 and 2022 and prepping them to be future Beavers as well!
Kent Smothers is a Regional Sales Manager for Empower Retirement. In the Regional Sales Management role, he is responsible for partnering with advisors, third-party administrators, registered investment advisers and other distribution sources to help them grow their retirement practices.
Kent joined the organization in 2021. Prior to joining Empower, he worked with a well-known retirement plan recordkeeper and managed the sales team in the Oregon, SE Idaho, SW Washington region.
Kent currently maintains FINRA Series 7, 66, and 63 securities registrations and Oregon and Washington state licenses.
Jeff Strittmatter is a Regional Vice President for Transamerica.
