A Detailed Dive into Qualified Domestic Relations Orders

 Tuesday, May 25, 2021

10:00 am  to 11:45 pm PST

The Presentation:

This presentation will include a practical and technical presentation pertaining to one of the most difficult, high-conflict categories of plan distributions: QDRO distributions! The presentation will walk through the life cycle of a QDRO from two perspectives: the divorcing Participant and the Plan Administrator. The presenter will share best practices advice for qualifying a QDRO as the fiduciary and risk reduction strategies for third party plan administrators.

Three learning objectives:

  1. Be informed on new laws pertaining to QDROs.
  2. Understand the lifecycle of a QDRO from both perspectives: Participant and Plan Administrator.
  3. Receive best practices strategies for risk reduction when processing and qualifying QDROs.
